Passive Aggressive

Yesterday someone was not only stupid, but rude to me. Normal people tell the person how much they suck right then and there, but because I am passsive aggressive, I didn't. Instead I made my own happy bunny sign to feel better.

ps - don't worry - the stupid rude person isn't anybody who reads my blog.

Random Events

The creepiest thing just happened. I turned my computer on and then went to get some cd's and in general, mind my own business. In the meantime, the computer booted up and about 5 minutes later started making clicking noises like it was opening and closing its own browser pages. It totally freaked me out. Its mid-day and I'm at home, but I swear for a split-second I worried that my computer had developed a mind of its own and was about to come to life and murder me on its way to world domination. Whoa. So weird. It was actually just weather bug loading up. I guess normally I have the volume down.

I'm still creeped out.

Heute ist Valentinstag

Well today is Valentine's Day. I'm eating refried beans and watching First Wives' Club on USA in sweats. Yes, its come to this. This big group of girls from work was supposed to have a girl's night tonight and see The Wedding Date, but it fell through. Evidently some radio station in town has this "Meet Market" event where there are all these guys wearing numbers and girls bid on them. I'm guessing its for charity, but I really don't know the details. So, the single girls all went to "watch." We shall see.

Oh my gosh. The Westminster Dog show is on next. They keep showing commercials for it - the dogs are so cute!!!

Okay. But, back to the overall degeneration of my life. Yesterday was the Freescale Marathon, which I registered for in August. I tried really hard to train, but fell off the wagon a few months ago. So as not to bail out completely I promised Laura I would run the half with her. But, I've only run 3 times in the past month (and not very far) and then I realized I didn't even want to wake up early to get to the race. So Sven dropped me off at the 2-mile marker and I ran to the half-finish. We got to see the elites which was really cool, and we got to see all the regular runners come through which was a first for me.

In addition to hanging out Britney-style and half-assing the race yesterday, I told an unforgiveable lie today. There are these new guys at work and they got put on the crappiest team ever. I looked them straight in the eye and said, "Oh, that's a really good place to start." The whole time I just thought, thank God it wasn't me.

Well the dog show is on now, so I better sign off. Hope everyone had a happy Valentine's Day (even though its the stupidest holiday ever invented. I mean, why would you ever invent a holiday that not everyone gets to celebrate unless you were just plain mean-spirited.)
